Children Books in Spanish

Children Books in SpanishIf a child is losing interest in reading or just learning how to read he or she might take an interest in bilingual books for children. The words are in Spanish and English and children enjoy looking at the pictures.

Stories that are in English and Spanish are fun for children that speak both languages. Also parents buy them to help a young child learn another language. Schools, libraries, and community centers, buy bilingual books in areas where many of the kids speak only Spanish to help them in learning to read and speak English.

Children Books in SpanishA person might purchase them at their usual book store. If somebody is fortunate, he or she might be able to check some out at the closest library. At bookstores they are expensive and they do not always have a good selection, so a person would have to order them.

Spanish books for children are not carried by many libraries and it is better to shop online. Shopping online can also save money. There are large amounts of books in Spanish online.

Children Books in SpanishUsually the best prices online are at retailers that offer discounts and free shipping deals. Look for a specialty store that only sells Spanish books. These web sites have Spanish books that are organized by category. Once you pick out the books that you want, you put them in your shopping cart. You can check out as usual on the check out page and complete the order.

You will not have to search all over the vast amount of books at Amazon and you often get the books for the half price of local books stores. You can save even more money by getting at least twenty-five dollars worth of books that qualify for free shipping on orders of twenty-five dollars or more.

The whole national newspaper dynamic is changing, with circulation in a ten year slide that doesn't show any signs of stopping. Sam Zell just bought the Tribune operation and is NOT a newspaper-type -- he is strictly interested in making a buck.
Owners and publishers make cuts, content drops, readers (an aging demo) drop the paper, or get it free online, and reporters get fired. The Baltimore Sun (a Tribune paper) had a proud history of international bureaus -- but the are all gone.
You see the same content because editors, facing funding cuts, take 'filler' over enterprise journalism

What was Johnny Rotten talking about in I wanna

"don't wanna be L7?"
Is that something British like the nudie on "page 3" of the Sun newspaper? The song is about a journalist, apparently.
I read Johnny's comments about the song in his autobiography (no Irish, no dog) and have read online but no mention of this expression, "L7".
I plan to cover the song and am thinking of saying something else there so it won't sound like I am disrespecting L7, the band. But I want to say something with a similar meaning.

Bill Nye, the harmless children's edu-tainer

Known as "The Science Guy," managed to offend a select group of adults in Waco, Texas at a presentation, when he suggested that the moon does not emit light, but instead reflects the light of the sun.
As even most elementary-school graduates know, the moon reflects the light of the sun but produces no light of its own.
But don't tell that to the good people of Waco, who were "visibly angered by what some perceived as irreverence," according to the Waco Tribune.
Nye was in town to participate in McLennan Community College's Distinguished Lecture Series. He gave two lectures on such unfunny and adult topics as global warming, Mars exploration, and energy consumption

Ever read about his experience in Waco,Texas?

  • Avatar Shiddy Smell Where can I read Star Wars Literature (books, comics, etc.) online?
Nov 10, 2008 by Shiddy Smell | Posted in Books & Authors

I am a huge fan of Star Wars literature, especially the stuff published in the pre-Prequel era, before the new movies were released.

I am looking for any sites that provide entire texts of any of the Star Wa …r Wars: Legacy and related comics, or any of "The Essential Guide to..." series of reference books. Do any of the sites exist? Best answer goes to the best link posted, or if none exist, then the best explanation of why.

    • They are all recently published, so they are still under copyright. Unless one of the authors has intentionally put the book online, you are most likely out of luck.

Pirate sites, that scan copyrighted works and make them available with no payment to the author, are inconsiderate to the author, and they're illegal. You would not want that to happen to your novel.
